Here's how to do that. Cause Resolution Please note that these steps will make search results incomplete or unavailable until the site is registered and fully crawled. 1. Start Sharepoint Central Administration on the search server. 2. Click "Manage service applications."3. Choose "Search Service Application."4. Click on "content sources."5. Click the drop down next to the correct content source(see the workarea > settings >configuration > search configuration screen) and click delete. 6. Run the search config UI tool on the Search Server as an administrator 7. Enter in the CMS server and central admin URL and hit next twice. 8. Choose the correct database from the drop down, enter in the proper credentials and hit "Register Site."
